The pole shaft is one piece construction, being fabricated from a weldable grade carbon steel structural tubing which has a uniform wall thickness of 11 gauge (0.1196") or 7 gauge (0.1793"). The pole shaft material shall conform to ASTM A500 Grade C with a minimum yield strength of 50,000 psi. The pole shaft has a full length longitudinal resistance weld and is uniformly cylindrical in cross-section with round sides and excellent torsional properties.
